Dear reader, greetings from Curacao (Netherlands Antilles). You've probably waited for some indepth technical updates, sorry for that, but my agenda was quite filled ;) Currently I'm employed for Digicel Curacao and the .plan is to move to Aruba in January.
The weather is ~hot~ but there is a nice breeze (temperatures between 26°C/78°F and 33°C/91°F).
Popular beer's around here are the locally brewed Amstel Bright (Dutch Corona clone from desalinated seawater and 100% Curacao ingredients), imported Amstel and Heineken (but with a different taste(?..) and probably the most popular; Polar Beer.
Getting Internet here can be quite hard. The ADSL lines provided by UTS are low to average quality depending on the location. Wireless links are available in a wide diversity but for both ADSL and wireless there seems to be a generic limit of 512kbit down and 256kbit up. Connectivity is expensive so I've got some luck with the 'free' 512/256 WLAN link that's available here ('free' because it does have a nag screen but at the same time a nice opportunity to try NSTX).
